So this has been probably one of my most productive years creatively in a long time. Back in January I published my first novel, The Witch and the Rose, and followed it up in June with a sequel, Bloody Damn Rite. Well, today I'm excited to officially announce the third book in the series, Shadowcasting, will be available on 12/15/2024! Like the earlier books in the series, you can pre-order the book on Kindle immediately, and it will arrive on your device December 15th ready to go.
Honestly, I'm super excited about this one. It's probably my favorite book in the series, and I can't wait for you guys to get your hands on it. Here's the back of cover synopsis:
Winter has clawed its way into the heart of Parrish Mills, and something far darker may have come with it. When Mia Graves, a witch with a habit of getting into trouble, and her best friend Riley Whittaker stumble across a grisly scene along the Wabash River, they find it reeks of dark, forbidden magic and has left at least one charred body in its wake.
With the help of young Bobbi Crawford, the further Mia and Riley dig into the events that took place on that cold Indiana morning, the more dire their circumstances reveal themselves to be. Between a stolen grimoire and a group of young witches who may not know how dangerous their actions are, shadows loom in the dark of winter.
And one of those shadows may be more dangerous than anyone imagined.
(Also, and this is unrelated, the non-Kindle, DRM free ePub version of Bloody Damn Rite is now available in my Patreon store too)
Could’ve sworn Sarah claimed to be straight at one point… Or am I thinking of someone else?
She realized she was bisexual a few chapters back. She realized she had feelings for Ruth.
Yeah, Sarah at one point THOUGHT she was straight,
Turned out not so much. Which is not uncommon for someone in their early twenties not to have figured everything out about themselves.
I mean, she and Ruth have been in a polyamorous relationship since the end of chapter seven…
I almost directly quoted the comic there… http://www.unconventional-comic.com/2016/07/the-confession/
@Gordo – Thank you! I remember her stating she had feelings for Ruth, but forgot the line about not being entirely straight.
@Langland – The way I see it, you can have feelings for someone that goes against your sexuality, thus why why Sarah liking Ruth made sense (she’s known her a good while by the time this comes up).
But she literally just met Tracy, so without the “not entirely straight” admission, I got confused.
So…. how tall is ‘tall’ in this specific case? As someone who is 6’5″ from a family of people over 6′, my perspective on such things is off.
I don’t like giving exact heights, because lord knows I’ll forget later and end up contradicting myself, but she’s over 6 feet tall for sure.
Sarah’s also probably only 5’1″ to 5’3″?
(Lynn, for reference, is one of the only characters with an “official” height at 5’4″ and Ruth is close to that. Lynn’s boots have a slight heel though, so Ruth is probably closer to 5’5″. Sarah, on the other hand, is consistently drawn shorter than that by a few inches)
I’m not going to remember specific numbers anyway, but thank you for the rough idea.
