I thought cons don't count "L" as a real cosplay.

Depends on the cosplayer. There's more to "L" than just jeans and a white shirt... apparently this guy hasn't realized that.

I'm not a cosplayer. At least, not an avid one (been known to costume at least once or twice). But this subject makes me all kinds of stabby.

I've seen some pretty damn lazy cosplays, and then I've seen lazy L cosplays. Ferchrissake at least add some eye shadow for effect...

THERE IS MORE TO L THEN T-SHIRT AND A GODDAMN PAIR OF JEANS. /huff

Note: Even the 'lazy' cosplayers at least put 10 hours of work in to their costumes. L Cosplayers go to Walmart and find cheap white undershirt and jeans...
The bad ones anyway. The good ones use props and actually have learned to WALK like L.

I always thought Cosplaying was for the love of the character. My Cosplaying friends tell me this, and quite frankly, I think its true. I know a gal who busts all kinds of butt getting her cosplays done before cons...and has actually lost a LOT of sleep over it.

To her and others who do the same as her, they have my utmost respect.

cosplaying light L is more about getting the mannerisms down than the look
