Good luck on Peregrine Lake, I am not entirely sure I will be reading it though, it was the fact that there was a webcomic about staffing cons that brought me here and while I really like Lynn and Megan, well, we will see.
As for technology, just assume the most boring advancements and that is what we will have in 10 years.
Yeah, I know not everyone who read UnCONventional will jump on board with Peregrine Lake — that’s why it has a different title and is considered separate even though (arguably) the main character of UnCONventional is continuing as one of the leads.
If the people here just for the convention stories don’t read it, I won’t be offended. But the people who were into the personal stories may enjoy it.
Also, while it’ll still be a comedy, there’s gonna be spooky stuff. 😛
Neat. I originally came for the Convention related tales and cameos of people I know, but will stay (crossover?) for the tale telling and sense of humor.
Hiya, kinda super late but I refound this comic recently.
Even if its been 4 years since I stopped (got removed/drama) this comic keeps resonating so so so relatable.
So on April 5th at 11AM Eastern/10AM Central you can join me for the Critical Thinking Witches' Collective's April Brew virtual event. You can register for the event here, and it's completely free.
I'm going to be on a panel that should start about fifteen minutes into the event, hosted by my friend Alex Wrekk (creator of the zine Brainscan and author of Stolen Sharpie Revolution). The other folks on the panel are Lane Smith (author of 78 Acts of Liberation: Tarot to Transform Our World) and Lee Cotman (author of The Good Enough Pagan Newsletter). We're going to be talking about book publishing and demystifying the process of getting stuff into print.
I think it's going to be fun time. I really like CTWC, but haven't had the chance to do something with them since I was on a panel at CritWitchCon a few years ago. So when Alex asked me if I wanted to do this panel, I said yes as soon as I saw the message.
So yeah, join us and spend a Saturday morning listening to witches talk about books. It should be a good time.
About the Comic
UnCONventional is a comic that ran from December 2009 to December 2019 about the staff of a small town anime convention and their lives. This is a complete online archive of the comic.
Welp, I guess that’s the answer to “now what will I read?”
It’s going to be super fun.
Agreed.
So long, and thanks for all the fish.
Trae, you did an amazing job with this comic. Sad to see it end, but it was a good run.
Best of luck on your next project.
Glad you enjoyed it. 🙂

Thumbs up dot gif
I’m sad to the con aspect of the comic go away but I’m down to read about Peregrine Lake!
Same Ike, same. But hey, time to branch out a bit. We’ll see you next year, Trae

Greatings from the netherlands
Is there any possibility that Peregrine Lake is going to come to fruition? This is still one of my favorite webcomics, hope so!
So I’ve done some work on it. At this point I don’t know if it’ll end up being a comic or something else though. The story will be told.
I don’t have a good timeline right now though, so I can’t make any promises about WHEN it’ll happen.
Took me a while, but it’s here.
